About.
Challenging the perception of value, waste, and the systems we inherit. The recontextualization of forgotten and unloved material, tools, and technique, draws attention to ethically and environmentally centered ways of living. Engaging with elements of popular culture and exposing the polarizing realities of daily life. To bring remnants of the past into new context, begins by noticing what we’ve chosen to ignore.
What we celebrate, what we hide, what we waste. All give meaning to the objects we choose to surround ourselves with. By posing questions like this we can begin to understand our own position within larger social and cultural structures. My belief that every object and forgotten story deserves a second chance, drives me to create work from what remains. Honouring past and future, my work acknowledges continuity, responsibility, and the potential for transformation. I aim not to repeat but to grow and change, building on what has come before me.
